If you are someone like me who like to store lot of movies, then files sizes are your biggest concern.. Here is a truck I use to save lot of my movies by compressing them without compromising on the quality of that video.
Firstly download this free software (depending on your PC platform)
Once downloaded install the software.
How to use this software:
Actually, it's pretty simple
1. Open the software, click on source and select your file from the dialog box appeared.
2. Select the destination location.
3. Select output type as MP4.
4. Check mark Web Optimized (it's very important). It's the unique feature of this software.
5. Go to Video tab, select '20' on video quality (best for compromising without losing quality) you can vary according to your quality requirement.
6. Go to Audio tab, set bit rate of your wish (128 is good)
7. Preview, if you like the quality. Click on Start
It takes 3-5 mins depending on the quality.. Once finished open the file and compare the quality
